“Beaucoup de plaisir et sécuritaire”

"We received this review from a Client last week, and I´d like to share it with you, as it is a very rewarding review, this reflects what we do, and what we are as a team. This kind of comments just encourage us to get better, stronger, and with the capability of delivering always quality, safety, and a great time while learning the process of becoming a kitesurfer"

9th Report – Last week in Maui! – December 17th

The time is winding down but the adventures are ramping right up! Last night the last of the Hanson brothers arrived onto Maui to reunite all three. Year number eight of our brothers adventure is underway with lots more amazing places to explore on this island.
Throughout the last week ive been doing some research for all you Morph followers wanting to venture to this amazing island. I have met a ton of great people and sussed out some phenomenal accommodation options on the North shore of Maui. The place I am staying at is wonderful and the people that own it are like family. They have been so hospitable and helpful during the month that ive been here. Gorgeous suite off the back of their house, fully furnished kitchen, king sized bed, salt water swimming pool and numerous fruit trees throughout the yard. This place is just outside of Haiku and lets you feel nestled away in the local atmosphere while being only minutes from Jaws, Hookipa and not far at all from Kanaha (kite beach). If this one happens to be full there are plenty of neighbors around with equally beautiful properties.
Two days ago, while I was out kiting at Kanaha, I ran into a fellow Wainman kiter and while getting to know him found out that he as well has room for a couple of people to stay. Three bedrooms, kitchen, living room and a view of Kanaha to top it off. This place is within walking distance of grocery stores and pubs and only minutes from Kanaha. This place is a labor of love as he hand built the entire upstairs living area...amazing job for sure!! There are lots of other possibilities for places to stay here on both ends of the financial scale and id be more than glad to help my fellow Morphsters in any way I can.
This past week has been hit and miss on the kiting but with the 12m and a skim board I've been able to get out for some great lighter wind sessions both on the North and South sides of the island, kiting into the sunset in front of Kehei one evening. When the wind isnt blowing we've been doing the same...standup paddling, surfing, snorkeling, hiking and just meeting amazing people both from the island and visiting the island. I better run as the hours are ticking away before I get back to the wetness of the west coast! Gotta take advantage of all the warm rays I can. Hope this finds you all enjoying the wind and the water where ever you may be! Keep it real and be sure to get to the Mayan Riviera this winter, its lining up to be an amazing season!

8th Report – Maui – December 9th

Well, once again another amazing week in maui!! Thursday and Friday of last week were a little haywire as the wind was around 22 gusting to 40! Freeking craziest winds ive ever ridden in. Borrowed a 6m from the airrush rep here in maui and went from absolutely lit to struggling for wind all in the same tack. Saturday lightened up to my relief and we were able to have some fun before hitting the "Surf & Turf" movie showing at the Maui Arts and Cultural Center. One video called Revolver that highlighted some amazing skiing from the area of British Columbia that i'll be living in for the new year. The second movie was called "The Windsurfing Movie 2" and it was sick!! I thought windsurfing was a dead or dying sport but these guys are absolutely killing it. Young and old showing their stuff while riding Lanes in Maui and numerous other spots around the world. Sunday was a solid light wind session at Kanaha with the skim board getting a ton of use as the forecast wasnt looking to windy for the next few days. The remainder of the week was full of random adventures like standup paddling, hiking a bamboo forest, snorkeling, seeing the world famous Jaws breaking with close to 20 foot waves and watching numerous surfers showing us beginners how its done on the large waves of Hookipa.
Once again, tough to complain about anything here...the food, people and adventures to be had are outstanding! Cant wait to see what my last two weeks has to offer. One more week and the other Hanson brothers will be joining for some good times. Today I was real thankful for all the lightwind kiting techniques I picked up from David. I always remember being envious of David getting out and slaying the light winds but today that was me while most were on the beach!! Thanks perro!

7th Report – Maui – December 2nd

Well I have slowly learnt that what everyone was telling me was true...it may not be the "windy" season but I really do need a small kite for my Maui adventure. Since the wind started, it has not really let off and ive spent most of my time on a 7m Naish Charger that a guy I picked up hitch hiking lent to me, still havent heard anything from him...random! The wind was supposed to take a break monday and tuesday but it didn't. I decided to take those lighter days (steady 20knots) to rest up and be ready for the rest of the week to come (http://www.windguru.cz/int/index.php?sc=74094). After two days of standup paddling and hiking into the mountains of Maui I was stoked to get back on the water and work on some surf skills. The winter is supposed to be the wave time but they have not really started rolling yet. Today was the best taste of larger waves as I headed up to an area known as Uppers, just east of Kanaha (Kite Beach). It was a little messy but a ton of fun as I was the only kiter up there and had the whole playground to myself.
After lunch I got to watch a couple of the top big air kiters around throw it down like no other!! Must have been getting 50-60 feet of air and the local legend, Flash throwing down 20-30 foot, 720 airs with a handle pass to top it off...freeking sick!!

Well once again, cant say enough how amazing this place is for kiting! More wind than one could ever ask for! Feel free to get in touch with me if you have any questions, more than glad to help people experience Maui, MORPH style!! Keep on keep'n er real!! Mahalo
