3era Regata Viento y Marea VIMA 2010 - Cozumel, Q Roo

Hello everybody,

Another kitesurfing event took place, but still in progress in the Riviera Maya, MORPH KITEBOARDING couldn´t miss that, so Dylan and I (Cédric) went to Cozumel to see the competition organized by Adrian from cozumelkiteboarding.com on the island of Cozumel.

it´s always with great pleasure I visit Cozumel, wonderful landscape and sightseeing, with clear blue water, calm on the west coast, and waves on the east coast.

Cozumel is for sure, an excellent place to kite.

So a quick decision was made, we took the boat, rented a car with Sebastian, a German fellow who was met last year in Xpu Ha.

We took the decision of PLaya San Martin on the East coast with an old boogie, fully charged and ready to go!

Arrived on the spot, some people, music, atmosphere but unfortunately not too much wind.

The race took place in quite difficult conditions, on-shore winds, but Paco Chan and Adam Withington, 2 local riders, both whom participated in the XPU HA TORNEO AMATEUR COMPETITION JUUM HA, and won 2nd and 1st place in advanced freestyle division.

which again were in the lead of the race, taking 1st and 2nd place.

they finished, packed-up, and we headed towards Adam´s house for a warm welcome and some

good rest, and a fantastic meal prepared by Adam´s Mom to finally go to the party and arrive there to wait in line to get in, where I departed from Dylan, and grabbed the last ferry back to PLaya del Carmen.
